When I'm not in the studio, I'm out playing with one of these projects.
Haze Over Hollywood
Haze Over Hollywood is a pop-rock trio from Orlando, Florida. The trio’s music is influenced by alternative, rock, indie, jazz, and funk; producing a sound that is both familiar and unique. The band channels these influences through their distinct pop sensibility with a textured, colorful sound that is welcoming, absorbing, and contagious.

Welcome to my original music page!
Here you have music from 3 different moments of my original production:
Matt Duarte - Since I moved to the U.S., I started an one-man-band project which resulted in a full length album released in June 2017. The album, entitled No Shame is the inauguration of a permanent work in progress. You can expect singles and other releases from now on.
(Follow me on Spotify! I would really appreciate it!)
Stay tuned, there's way more to come!
solo pero no mucho - Homemade videos playing all the instruments and partnering with other artists such as Claudinho Brasil.
MATCH - A project I had in Brazil between 2010 and 2013. During the process I formed a band with Andre Nisgoski (Bass) and Val OFílio (Drums) and we recorded an album released in 2011.

Matt Duarte - Something
Matt Duarte is back proving it is possible to sound groovy and romantic at the same time. Highly influenced by the 70’s sound the artist applies his Brazilian twist to “Something”, a ballad about long term relationships and their complexities. Play it loud, feel it deeply.
Matt Duarte: The Voice In My Ear | Casa da Frente |
On May 2016, just about to released the album, I traveled back to Brazil for a quick one week visit to family and friends. I ended up being invited by my great friend and partner Vinicius Braganholo, to record a video in his brand new studio, Casa da Frente, which was a great opportunity to gather with some dear friends and "bring one of my songs to life".
Matt Duarte - Voice and guitar / Tiago Martins - Guitar and Synth / Andre Becker - Bass / Eli - Drum
Katana - Matt Duarte (feat. Melissa Miya & Mixtapemac)
My daughter Melissa and I are always pretending to speak Japanese just for fun. One day the sentence "Katana ya tandara" came out and I decided it would become a song eventually. I ended up recording Melissa 18 times singing it and the rest is funk. During the process I felt like some rapping was obviously needed and it was the perfect opportunity to collaborate with MixtapeMac, a talented Orlando based artist and friend. I share the credits for the song with my daughter Melissa Miya.

Acoustic House (entertainment)
The Acoustic House Project is exactly what the name stands for. Current music from the world’s greatest artists and DJ’s, like David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Disclosure and Robin Schulz played live acoustically with organic effects in an One-Man-Band style.
- A few effect pedals;
- Small percussion instruments;
- An acoustic guitar and a powerful voice.
That’s all Matt Duarte, an experienced music producer born in Brazil, needs to perform an exciting show and an unique experience.
